Café de Spoek
The 19th century building was opened in 1981 as café de Spoekepôlle. In 2010 the café refurbished and reopened as 'the Spoek'. The passion for music is all around you in the café, it is decorated with atmospheric music posters and instruments. There are guitars and a large bass present, which guests regularly spontaneously play. The music café is an accessible, friendly meeting place. The music is at a volume where you can still have a conversation at the table. At the bar lively discussions take place and new contacts are made easily. We organize several activities every month. Every last Sunday of the month there is a band on our little stage. Check the website and Facebook regularly for the program. Furthermore, we organize buffets, game nights, dance evenings on vinyl, tastings, motor tours and poetry afternoons. In 2018 Leeuwarden will be European capital of culture for a year. And we are proud to contribute to this vibrant, cultural event!

The Doelebar is a cosy (student) café, where you enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, or a beer, from early morning to late at night. Just be yourself, that's the mentality of the Doelebar. Unlike many other bars you can still understand and hear each other in the Doelebar. We usually play pop, rock and 80/90’s music. We do not need to make crazy offers, to be and stay affordable! In short: The Doelebar is the ideal pub for a nice evening out. How often do you have nobody to play a board game with? How common is it that you have no board games or you just have a completely different taste then your gaming partner? How many times would you rather play board games with another couple, instead of just the two of you? Therefore: Monday night, Game Night! We start with some basic games, including games such as Catan and Risk. Basic games will therefore continuously be available at the bar. So: every Monday at 20.00 o’clock, game face on! Experience the cosiness of old fashioned board games!
